The Liceo Artistico dell’Istituto d’Istruzione Ulderico Midossi, the first artistic high school in the province of Viterbo, was founded in 1914 in the area of Civita Castellana.
Many important artists taught there, such as Duilio Cambellotti, Luigi Montanari, Enea Antonelli between 1920 and 1930, and the master Renato Guttuso in 1940.
After a two-year period in which all students study the same subjects, they are then able to choose one of the school’s three curriculum: Architecture and Environment, Design, Figurative Arts. They then experiment with traditional and state-of-the-art methods and tools for a comprehensive, practical and future-oriented education.
