At house number 5, we find the house with the coat of arms of the Stelliferi family.
Gimignano Stellifero is among the most important Vascellari in Acquapendente, where he lived and had his own well-established business.
In 1579, perhaps prompted by the strong competition that had been created (in 1546, as many as 17 workshops were registered), he asked the Duke of Castro if he could open a ceramic workshop in the capital of the Duchy as there was none.
This archive document, like others which reveal a dense commercial traffic between craftsmen from Acquapendente and other centres of the Farnese Duchy and Tuscany, bears witness to the fact that many ceramics which for decades were attributed to Castro actually came from Acquapendente.
